It's a Matter Of Trust

If you've been to Mina's anytime in the last two years, you may have noticed a poster of a swimming otter by our front door... or you may have walked by without giving it a second glance. The poster was given to us by Matter of Trust, a non-profit charity founded in 1998. For the past two years, we've been shipping biweekly boxes of hair from your haircuts to Matter of Trust who has partnered with Excess Access to assemble booms for use in oil spill cleanups. With the recent disaster in the Gulf, there's never been a bigger need for hair and nylon donations. (You can see a video of the booms in action here.)
