Mina's Studio, Lark Home Apparel, & Purple Puddle teamed up for the first time to put on a fall charity fashion show at The Franklin.
The event raised $8,000 with all the proceeds benefiting the UNC Center for Women's Health Research and the UNC Center for Women's Mood Disorders. The primary focus of these centers is to assist scientists in obtaining grants for underfunded women's health research and to provide care for the mental health of women during the reproductive years.
About 100 women attended the event which featured small plates provided by the Franklin Hotel, wine tasting and a guest speaker- renowned local author Celia Rivenbark who added her wit and unique perspective on life in the South. The night culminated with a fashion show, featuring local, real women modeling clothes from Lark Home Apparel, with hair and makeup provided by Mina's Studio.
